Good organizational skills are necessary if you want to be a good student. Every GPMS student is issued a student agenda.
The front portion of the GPMS agenda contains the GPMS Student Handbook. In it you will find policies, rules and procedures that are specific to Graham Park Middle School. Click here for a copy of the front section of the GPMS Agenda/Student Handbook.
The agenda must be brought to every class, every day. There are calendar spaces to record assignments for all classes as well as spaces for comments to and from your parents.
We expect all students to take their agendas home every night to use as an organizational tool.
The student agenda is a way to communicate with parents on a regular basis. Teachers record progress or concerns in your agenda. It is your responsibility to have your parent/guardian review and sign your agenda on a weekly basis, every Thursday night. Your teachers will check for this signature on a weekly basis. If you do not have the signature, you may not be permitted to participate in certain team activities and your ACE conduct grade may be lowered. Chronic failure to adhere to this policy may bring further disciplinary action.
If you lose your agenda, you must replace it at cost which is $6.00. Students are expected to keep their agenda in excellent shape. It is suggested that you keep this in your hard-covered binder which offers some protection. DO NOT TEAR OUT, BEND, FOLD, OR MUTILATE AGENDA PAGES! IF THE AGENDA BECOMES UNUSABLE, YOU WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE ANOTHER.
