GPMS DRESS CODE
Students must be dressed appropriately for school. In addition to the PWCS Code of Behavior guidelines-
DO NOT WEAR:
· ___ Tank tops (sleeveless tops must have a width of 3” across each shoulder).
· ___Low-cut necklines (your shirt/blouse should not extend lower than 3” from the soft dent in your neck to the start of the neckline).
· ___ Headgear of any type (sweatbands, bandanas, scarves).
· ___ Sunglasses.
· ___ Sheer clothing/Spandex/ fishnet hose
· ___ Skorts, shorts, skirts, or dresses which are not long enough to reach the longest finger of student’s hand when standing with arms at your sides (top opening of any slits must be below extended fingertips). Skirts that you have to constantly pull down. This rule applies even if leggings are worn underneath.
· ___ Sleepwear of any type including house shoes/slippers and house pants.
· ___ Super-sized shirts are not permitted. Shirts are not to be longer than the longest finger of student’s hand when student’s arms are down.
· ___ Pants that are not pulled up to the waist and fastened so that they remain in that position.
· ___ Safety pins on clothing or body, gloves, any covering of arms that is not connected to the shirt.
· ___ Hair coloring - neon’s, pastels, polka-dots, stripes. Hairstyles that distract from or disrupt the learning environment.
· ___ Heavy chains that are attached to wallets or worn on clothing. No leather items or chains that have spikes.
· ___ Shirt/pants that lace up the front or sides that show any skin.
· ___ Halter tops or shirts with spaghetti straps-even under hoodies or jackets.
· ___ Cut-offs or holes in clothing. Exposing undergarments or flesh above the knee.
· ___ Beach wear.
· ___ Wheels in heelies or shoes.
· ___ Any items that pose safety concerns or distract from the learning environment are prohibited.
